Alright, episode 3! Continuing with my series on what it's like trying to make art work in Fresno, this time I'm talking with Laura Goldstone, another Central Valley native who has bounced around a bit throughout California and recently found herself back in Fresno.
Apologies for the abrupt ending, there were some technical problems.
Also I'm taking a break with updating until after Christmas, be back in January!
Episode 3
Laura's blog is http://papersledgehammer.blogspot.com/ where you can see her work and thoughts about the art making process.

Podcast #2 - Centa Schumacher
Welcome again to I Don't Get it Podcast! This is episode #2, and I'm talking with Centa Schumacher, an artist who grew up here in Fresno and then left to pursue a degree in Photography at San Jose State. We talk about a few things, and attempt to get at a little bit of what it means to be a creative person in Fresno.

First episode!
Still very much a work in progress, warts and all, the first episode is up!
What I'm trying to do here is get at the mental and emotional aspects that allow the art making process to happen. Not so much at all any technical aspects of art making, but the mental behind the scenes stuff that makes artists tick.
First up is John Rios, a graphic designer and cartoonist who is in the lucky position of being able to get some creative satisfaction from his professional life and on the side. His webcomic is up at http://deaddays.net/
Anyways, here's the first episode available in .mp3!
